Digital Economy Program
From the successful completion of ‘Making Edmonton Digital’ the Digital Economy Program took over. Similar in scope to the Making Edmonton Digital’ Program, the Digital Economy Program was introduced to the province of Alberta and the Alberta School of Business worked strategically with all 14 municipalities to serve businesses in the capital region economy.
Making Edmonton Digital
A conversation in the early days of the COVID-19 Pandemic with the City of Edmonton’s Braidon Reid, Heather co-founded a project to help businesses create or enhance their digital presence.

This program was created through a partnership with the University of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, and Digital Main Street. The goal was simple: partner business students with local businesses to develop and enhance their digital presences with the intention of reaching more customers
RMWB Council Strategy
Working with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Heather led the council through a strategic vision and plan project. She had the opportunity to work with the council as individuals and as a group. Heather facilitated discussions with all departments within the municipality to ensure cohesion and structure for successful execution of the plan.
Community Camp
From the days of working at lululemon athletica, Heather had a passion for bringing content to professionals in a fun and engaging way. In her previous roles, she has attended many conferences and felt the learner experience was not executed for maximum learning potential. She had a vision to host a ‘Community Camp’. A conference for community leaders who want to prepare their community for the future.
"The content was amazing and hard to choose a favourite presentation. The group of people that attended were amazing and the atmosphere and camaraderie that was created was second to none. It was a conference with tons of great information and content that felt more like a retreat! Amazing experience."
